After 18 months of work, as described in this case study, the programme continues. The cultural survey has been applied once again and substantial shifts have been seen in the opinions of both the leadership and non-leadership populations. The summary of responses showing weighted averages are given below. This shows that:
  • There has been a 65% increase in the overall view of the culture of the organisation
  • The non-leadership population’s view of the leadership within the hospital has improved by 99%
  • Teamwork and communication has improved by 63%
  • Process and Performance has improved by 53%
  • The non-leadership population’s understanding and involvement in the Hospital’s vision and strategy has increased by 51%
Capacity and volume have both increased and patient satisfaction scores have also improved. The hospital is committed to continuing this programme addressing capability and ownership within the organisation at all levels.
